Empty theaters can be spooky places where the echoes of dead hands forever applaud and the leftover gloom of forgotten tragedies lingers - and nowhere is spookier than the grand, gaudy, gilded Victorian music hall where Charles and Crystal go to investigate his mother's suspicious death.
